Jud Reasons was born in Nashville, TN on June 17, 1965. Jud grew up with two older brothers and parents who were both public school teachers. His home church of Woodmont Baptist Church played a very big role in his spiritual development. Jud accepted Christ at the age of 9 following a week of Vacation Bible School. He accepted a call into ministry during his 10 th grade year in high school while on a mission trip with Woodmont Baptist Church to Saginaw, Michigan.

While attending Mississippi College, Jud majored in Business Administration. It was during these formative years that he truly surrendered to the calling that God had placed on his life. During his sophomore year, he met Anne while on a Baptist Student Union Retreat. They were married May 14, 1988, which was also Jud’s college graduation day! The graduation ceremony was at 2PM and the wedding ceremony was at 7PM.

Jud was called to be the Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Huntsville on July 23, 2006. Jud served as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Knoxville from November 1999 until coming to Huntsville. Prior to that time he served on the staff at First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia. He has also served churches in Mississippi and Kentucky.

When he is not working, Jud enjoys spending time with his wife, Anne, and kids, Blake and Kyle. Blake is in the 9th grade at Huntsville High School and Kyle is in the 7th grade at Huntsville Middle School.  His wife Anne is an Elementary Music Teacher at University Place Elementary School and Jones Valley Elementary School. While his major was in Business Administration, she cultured him with her major in Music. Blake and Kyle keep Anne and Jud busy in their spare time with sports and music interests.
