Children's Ministry
Special Events

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT
Several times each year Childhood Ministries will offer a night of fun for the children so that parents may plan for couple-time without childcare worries. Watch The Messenger for dates and times.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
During December, Childhood Ministries provides children with an opportunity to celebrate Jesus' birth. On this special night, we do a variety of activities including make-and-take crafts, missions activities and just have fun together.

FAMILY FUN EVENTS
Several times each year we will offer events through Childhood Ministries that serve as ways for families to play together. The events may celebrate the liturgical year or be planned just for fun and fellowship.

ADVENT PREPARATION
The 1st Sunday of Advent for the evening worship service, we gather as a church family to prepare our hearts for the coming celebration of Jesus' birth. We spend time together with devotion, worship, fellowship, crafts, snacks, and missions projects.

FIRST GRADE BIBLE PRESENTATION
Each year we give our first graders a Bible of their very own. We present the Bible during the Sunday School hour; then have a time of recognition in the morning worship service. This is a special time of reaffirmation with our church family. Our church family acknowledges this step in the child's journey of faith and commits to continue to provide a church home, rich in Christian love and nurture.

A TREE FOR CHILDREN

The Sunday afternoon presentation of the Living Christmas Tree has been designated "A Tree for the Children." The presentation is a much shorter version of the LCT with "child friendly" music. Also included is a telling of the Christmas Story. Plan to bring your children and enjoy the lights and pageantry of Christmas.
