The videos on this site are encoded using the Windows Media Encoder in two different formats. The high speed format is optimized for users who connect to the internet using a cable or DSL modem or for users connected to a LAN. This format is encoded in a 320x240 format at 100Kbps for sermons and 200kbps for shorter clips. The low speed format is optimized for users who connect to the internet using a dialup modem connected to their phone line. This format is encoded in a 240x180 format at 56Kbps.
The first time you play a video, you will be prompted to select the format that you would like to use. Your selection will be remembered the next time you visit this site from the same computer. If you would like to change your selected format, click on the preferences link located at the bottom of the playback screen. If your version of Windows Media Player does not have the latest codecs installed, you will be prompted to download a file called "WMV-9 VCM RTW" from Microsoft. This is the Windows Media 9 video codec that must be installed in order for you to watch the video.
If you experience excessive pausing or stopping of the video, you have probably selected a format that is not correct for your network connection. Try going back to the options page and selecting the low speed format.
If you do not already have Microsoft Media Player version 6 or higher, you can download it here.
In addition to a video player you'll need a compatible browser. Browsers that have been tested with this site include: Microsoft IE, Mozilla 1.7, & Firefox.
