Where Is The Living Christmas Tree?
The Living Christmas Tree is presented in our church sanctuary at 600 Governors Drive. Map
Where Should I Park?
Please enter the church parking lot from Governors Drive. There will be parking attendants to direct you upon your arrival.
Is Handicapped Parking Available?
Yes. Please notify the parking attendant when you enter the parking lot from Governors Drive if you need handicapped parking. Please call the Ticket Office (428-9422) to discuss other needs you might have, including the use of a wheelchair.
Is Childcare Available?
Yes. Since younger children sometimes have difficulty sitting through an entire presentation, professional childcare is offered for children through age 4, free of charge. Also, there will be two special shorter presentations one on Saturday morning at 11:00 and the other on Sunday afternoon that are especially suited for younger children and their families.
What Is The Children's Tree?
We realize that young children may not enjoy a full length presentation of The Living Christmas Tree, so we have added a Saturday morning performance designed especially for them. The program is much shorter, incorporating the selections that will most likely be enjoyed by children and eliminating the traditional narration. The atmosphere is very casual, and keeping the kids quiet is definitely not required.
How Early Should I Arrive?
Doors will open one hour before each presentation for ticket holders and seating is first come, first serve. Tickets will be honored until 15 minutes prior to each presentation, at which time seating will be open to all.
Why Is It Cold In The Sanctuary?
To offset some of the heat generated by the 13,000 lights used on the tree, the Sanctuary is made cooler than normal during the presentations. Please dress warmly! In 2016, we switched many of our lights to LED bulbs, and we are able to keep the room at a warmer (although not warm) temperature.
Can I take Pictures?
We ask that you refrain from using flash photography during the presentation. A camera flash is very distracting to those around you and also to the performers.
What Is The Easiest Way To Get Out Of The Parking Lot?
When leaving the parking lot after the presentation, please make only right turns onto Governors Drive and St. Clair Avenue. This will speed up the exit process for you and those behind you.
