Prayer is our time of fellowship with God. It builds our relationship with our Heavenly Father and prepares us for His work. At First Baptist, there are many opportunities for participation in the Prayer Ministry.
Prayer also is an opportunity to lift other people's needs to God. First Baptist provides opportunities for you to request intercessory prayer.
| Requesting Prayer Is there a situation that you would like others to pray about? We consider it a privilege to intercede on your behalf to Our Heavenly Father. According to your wishes, your request will remain confidential or shared with others in our church body. |

| Prayer Request Card A place for you to write prayer requests is located on the back of the First Baptist Commitment Cards in the pew racks in the Sanctuary. You may place your card in the offering plate as it is passed during the Sunday morning worship service. |
| First Baptist Church Office - 428-9400 You may call First Baptist Church to request prayer for health matters, hospital stays, deaths, or births. Your request will be handled as you desire, such as placing a name on the hospital list or the prayer list distributed during Wednesday evening services and in the Prayer Room. |
| Prayer Room Prayer Request Cards are located in the Prayer Room on the main floor. Others who visit the Prayer Room will pray for your request or you may place your request in a specially marked box for our Pastor. |
| Crisis Intercessor Team If you have a crisis (life or death) situation, a special prayer team is ready to pray for your confidential request. You may call the church office (428-9400) to request prayer from the Crisis Intercessor Team. After office hours, call the 24-Hour Prayer Line (428-9460) and leave a message. |
| Deacon Prayer Ministry Team Recognizing the importance of God's presence, direction, guidance, and intervention across the full spectrum of church activities and the Christian life, the Deacon Prayer Ministry Team's focus is to provide active prayer support for the congregation and staff. The areas of focus include the Sunday morning worship service with a team praying during the service, and a Tuesday morning prayer group that prays for internal FBC needs and external needs of the community. We are also developing a list of unsaved persons in order to pray specifically for their salvation, and are seeking to develop more ways to involve the congregation in prayer. |
