Welcome to the team! As a Project:PeopleLink
coach, you will have the opportunity to see God at work in the lives of
individuals and congregations. You
will help them understand and respond to God’s invitation to join in taking
the gospel to all the peoples of the world.
You will introduce them to men and women that God has called out to go to
the uttermost parts of the world. You
will have the joy of watching churches and missionaries discover God’s
boundless resources as they partner in penetrating the darkness, where the name
of Jesus is not known. Your job is linking
God’s people in our churches with the people God has sent to the nations
to reach the Unreached Peoples of our world.
Our Passion
God is calling men
and women to take the gospel to Unreached People Groups (UPGs), often in places
where traditional missionaries cannot go. These
men and women need the prayers and support of our churches.
But, because of the very nature of their assignments, most churches will
never know their names. They are
taking the gospel to the “hidden peoples” of the world and, in essence,
become “hidden missionaries.” In
fact, many of them aren’t missionaries in the traditional sense.
They are teachers, businessmen, students, relief workers, health care
workers, farmers…ordinary people taking
the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Our Southern Baptist churches have an unprecedented opportunity to be actively engaged in
world evangelization. God is waking
up our churches to their personal responsibility to fulfill the Great
Commission. God is creating a
burden in their hearts for Unreached Peoples Groups around the world.
The International Mission Board has a new philosophy that encourages the
active participation of churches in international mission strategies.
Our Purpose
The International Mission Board is “leading Southern Baptists to be on mission with God to bring
all the peoples of the world to saving faith in Jesus Christ.”
Project:PeopleLink
helps local churches discover their unique place in world evangelization through
adopting Unreached People Groups (UPGs) and becoming strategic partners with our
missionary personnel. Once we have
guided, trained, and introduced a congregation to a strategic partner on the
field our work is done. It is all
about churches and missionaries linking together to reach unreached peoples.
