First Baptist Church has many state side mission activities. Globa Missions is the arm of our international mission effort to anywhere God calls us to serve around the world. Canada Mission

Canada mission work has been part of First Baptist's focus for many years. Each year two different teams travel to two different locations in Canada and provide construction materials, construction workers, Vacation Bible School, elderly programs, Bible studies, support of local pastors, and surveys of the communities. Some of the mission sites include Toronto, Prince Edward Island, Calgary, and Winnipeg. For more information on Canada mission work contact Don Newman.

Guatemala Mission

Homer Wilson has headed up the Friends of the Children for many years by providing shoe boxes filled with gifts and hygiene items to orphans and children throughout Guatemala. First Baptist helps with providing shoe boxes, pews for churches, construction help, and help sorting and loading shoe boxes. Contact Homer or Mary Wilson for more information.

Haiti Mission

Dr. Jerry Graham and Herb Batt are the leaders of generally two trips per year and sometime more. Their heart is to help the Haitian people in sharing the gospel and bring medical relief. The need of the Haitian people is tremendous. Our team works close with Southern Baptist Missionaries there in Haiti. For more information you may contact Herb Batt or Jerry Graham.

West Africa Mission

First Baptist for several years has adopted the Mande people group in West Africa. Each year we were sending two teams a year to Africa to help with medical missions, prayer walking, drama, Vacation Bible Schools and give support to the West Africa Cluster missionaries. Our commitment is provide teams to present the gospel and care for the people. For more information contact Jim Atherton.

Future Sites

We are praying about other sites that we can send groups. Some of the sites being considered are Thailand, Bali, Russia, and Mexico.
