The Letter to the Romans has played an important role throughout Christian history in the renewal of individual believers. In this letter, the Apostle Paul gives us an understanding of God that has a deep foundation and that soars to great heights of faith. The book is one of the “mountain top” experiences of the entire Bible. Each Sunday night we will explore the richness of Romans and hope that this indepth study will lead to renewal in the minds and hearts of those who participate.

The Power of the Story...Using Bible Stories for Reaching and Reclaiming People. Story Witnessing is a unique customized approach to reaching the lost. During this two and a half day workshop we will develop story-listening skills that will provide a way for us to interpret the "parables," Metaphores, and thematic materials that people share. This workshop will be led by Margaret Slusher, the developer of this story-matching approach. Registration deadline will be Wednesday, January 6th. This course teaches families and individuals how to handle their money through biblical, common sense principles and small group accountability. As people walk through FPU together, marriages are healed as couples get on the same page about money, parents learn how to teach their children about money, singles are kept accountable to responsible money management, and relationships within the church grow.

This marriage-enhancement class is offered for all couples married for any length of time – newlywed to golden anniversary plus! Using a DVD format, we will watch as Mark Goungor, a highly entertaining speaker on the topic of marriage and family, uses a candid and comedic approach to teach marriage principles. Small-group discussion will follow the DVD presentations. Prayer – Does It Make Any Difference?

Using Philip Yancey’s book on prayer as a guide, we will explore questions about prayer: What is prayer? Is God listening? Does it make any difference? How can I grow deeper in my prayer life? The class format will include watching DVD segments, class conversation, and some at-home supplemental Bible study and prayer journaling. Women of all ages and life stages are invited to participate! Using the Bible as his basis, John teaches that parenting is leadership. This study will help you know how to put your leadership to work for your child’s benefit as well as your own. There are seasons to parenthood, just as there are seasons to the raising of crops. According to John, if we do what’s required in each season success is pretty much guaranteed. Cost: $10.00

Helps children to develop Bible skills. By participating your child can learn Bible skills through games, crafts, drama, puzzles, music, and other fun activities. The children will develop a foundation of Bible knowledge including Bible books, verses and key passages.
