Recreation Ministry
Weekly Activities
The weekly schedule of the Christian Life Center consists of a variety of activities and includes all ages from children to senior adults.
- Aerobics - M W F morning, M T Th evenings
- Workbreak - every weekday, various times
- Pickup Volleyball - Monday nights
- Walking - every open day, during regular hours
- Seniorcize - Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, mornings
- Senior Play Day - Wednesday mornings
- Line Dancing - Monday mornings
| Aerobics | Aerobics classes of 2 different types are offered 13 times a week.
Instructors are well trained in safety and appropriate exercise
to meet anyone's physical needs. Cost is $20 per month or $45 per
quarter. For seniors age 55 years and older the cost is $20 per
month and $40 per quarter. Interested persons may attend 2 classes
free of charge to determine which class is best for the individual.

| Workbreak | This program provides the opportunity to "take-a-break" from
the busy workday to work-out. Exercising in a Christian atmosphere
relieves the stress of the body and refreshes the soul. Use of the
facility includes racquetball and basketball courts as well as exercise
equipment. Some activities require reservations. Free to FBC members.
Cost for others is $20 per month or $45 per quarter. For seniors

| Walking | A program promoting general health by allowing participants to
walk or run on our indoor track. The cushioned surface reduces injury
and maximizes your efforts. Bring your personal music source, watch
the gym activities, or talk with a partner. Free to FBC members.
Cost for others is $15 per month or $35 per quarter. For seniors
age 55 years and older the cost is $12 per month and $30 per quarter. During regular hours Monday-Friday 8am-9pm and Saturday 9-12noon |

| Seniorcize | A partnership between First Baptist Recreation Ministry and Huntsville
Hospital providing aerobic exercise designed for people age 55 and
older. The class is free to FBC seniors and members of Senior Horizons.
Instructors offer movement to increase muscle tone, strength, and
overall fitness. Music adds to the fun hour. 9:00am-10:00am Tuesday and Thursday |

| Senior Play Day | Every Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 12noon senior adults gather for a table games including bridge, canasta, and board games. | ||||
| Line Dancing | Through a partnership between First Baptist and Crestwood Hospital
supporting aerobic exercise in a new and exciting way. Classes are
open to novice as well as those who know the routines. Steps are
taught and practiced each week. Music is screened for content in
keeping with our Christian atmosphere. Free to FBC senior adults
and Senior Friends members. Mondays 10:00am-12noon |
