Sunday Classes

Parenting Class
Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Student Center, Room 5
Begins January 8
This four week parenting class will be led by Jamie Mackey and Holly Canup. This class will be for parents of children ages birth to students and will be using the book, Becoming a Spiritually Healthy Family:  Avoiding the 6 Dysfunctional Parenting Styles by Michelle Anthony. Sign up on Mosaic.

Women’s Bible Study
Sundays from 4:00-6:00 PM in Room 111
Begins January 8
Beth Moore's study Entrusted on 2 Timothy, will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you personally, share Christ with others through service, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. In this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness. Book cost $14. Sign up on Mosaic.

The Arts and Jesus:  An Experience in Bible Journaling 
Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Student Center, Room 6
Begins January 8-January 29
Experience God’s Word in a whole new way that is revealing and a bit artsy. Give your “thinking” brain a rest and let your “creative” brain take over with this step-by-step approach to Bible Journaling. You will need a Journaling Bible and your favorite pens and markers. All ages welcome! And it’s not just for the ladies!

Young Adult Bible Study
Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Community Room
Begins January 8-March 26
“Connected: How the many stories of the Bible connect to tell ONE story.” A 12-week session open to all Young Adults that will walk through the Bible to identify the over-arching theme of Redemption through Jesus that is pointed to by all of Scripture. The goal will be to enrich your faith and study of the Bible, as well as to strengthen our Young Adult group in general through fellowship and face time with one another. This session will be led by John Lemons and various additional leaders in the Young Adult Ministry.

Financial Peace University
Sundays from 5:30-7:00 PM in Room 253
Begins February 5-April 2
This course, facilitated by Hunter Hoskins, teaches families and individuals how to handle their money through biblical, common sense principles and small group accountability. As people walk through FPU together, marriages are healed as couples get on the same page about money, parents learn how to teach their children about money, singles are kept accountable to responsible money management, and relationships within the church grow. Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM
Begins January 8
This Winter/Spring we are offering three classes each lasting four weeks. We’d like your child to participate in one class for the full four week session before switching to another class. They can choose any class they want and can even repeat the class each session if they’d like.
  • Eat at the Table – Led by Toni Morgan in Room 230. We’re going to come to the table to learn how to share God’s love around the table through food.
  • Decorate the Table – Led by Teri Estes in Room 228. We’re going to come to the table to learn how to share God’s love around the table through tangible works of art used to make time at the table more meaningful.
  • Praying around the Table – Led by Cynthia Barr & Roxanne Daniels in Room 229.  We’re going to come to the table to learn how to share God’s love around the table through a variety of prayer experiences including praying in color, prayer walks, prayer stations, and more.

Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: Finding Intimacy with God in the Busyness of Life. In this study by Joanna Weaver, women are encouraged and taught how to overcome a tendency to worry, how to spend time with Jesus, how to serve with our spiritual gifts, and how to stop being burden bearers. Intermediate Spanish Class

13 week study (conversation and grammar)  taught by Alberto Duarte
